How do I get an access code for an e-book?

Access codes are bought to access your online homework modules through a publisher. They are called several different names, but the most common are Connect or MyLab. All access codes come with an ebook automatically.
Most access codes are purchased within your Canvas course shell, as they are unique to your class. If your purchase link is in Canvas, the title of the book on the textbook website will include the phrase, “Purchase directly in Canvas”. Look in the syllabus, Canvas announcements, or homework modules for the link.
If the title on the textbook website does NOT include the above phrase, look on the textbook website for a clickable purchase link. It will be in the brown “Notes” section just below the course number. If you are accessing the textbook website from a laptop, it is on the left-hand side. On a mobile device, it is at the top of the screen.
